What:

Whitewater Safety and Rescue (WWS) is a course that anyone who is regularly paddling whitewater should attend. It's a two-day, hands‑on safety and rescue training designed for paddlers on moderate (Grade 2/3) white‑water, covering all the skills you need to safely and confidently paddle in a group environment. It aims to create positive habits and practices, cover the best communication and safety techniques, and foster the paddling community spirit.

There are 6 spaces available, on a first come first served basis.

Signups will be released at 14:00 tomorrow!

Who its for:

  • Members regularly paddling within the club and looking for whitewater leadership roles within the club

  • You are able to paddle independently in chosen craft (kayak) on the above
  • You are comfortable swimming about a river for 2 days!
